WELF Financial Wellness Programme

About the WELF Programme

WELF is a financial wellness programme operated by Super-Advice Limited, a New Zealand financial services company. This page provides important information about what WELF is, what it is not, and how it works — so you can make an informed decision about using the platform.

What Is WELF?

WELF (Workplace Employee Life & Financial wellness) is a structured financial education and coaching programme designed to help New Zealanders improve their financial wellbeing over time.

The programme includes:

  • A Financial Wellness Questionnaire and Score
  • A personalised Money Plan (budgeting tool)
  • A 5-step Financial Journey with personalised coaching content
  • KiwiSaver and insurance awareness tools
  • Financial goals and debt tracking
  • Access to Advisor sessions (where applicable)

What WELF Is NOT

Important Disclaimer

  • WELF is not a financial advice service under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013
  • WELF does not provide personalised financial advice or investment recommendations
  • WELF is not a banking service and does not hold or manage your money
  • WELF does not connect to your bank accounts or access your banking credentials
  • WELF is not a substitute for professional financial, legal, or tax advice

The content provided through WELF is general financial education only. If you need personalised financial advice, we encourage you to consult a licensed financial adviser.

The Financial Wellness Score

Your Financial Wellness Score is calculated from your responses to a six-question questionnaire based on an internationally recognised financial wellbeing framework. The score ranges from 0 to 30 and is intended as a general indicator of your financial wellbeing, not a formal financial assessment.

0 – 11Getting Started
12 – 17Building Momentum
18 – 23On Track
24 – 30Thriving

Your score changes when you complete the questionnaire again and your responses show a change in financial confidence or resilience. Other WELF milestones are tracked separately and do not artificially alter the score.

Data You Enter

All financial data within WELF is entered manually by you. This includes:

  • Income and expense information in the Money Plan
  • KiwiSaver balance and provider details
  • Emergency fund progress
  • Debt balances and repayment information
  • Financial goals

This data is used to personalise your programme experience, tools and progress tracking. Your Financial Wellness Score itself is calculated from the six-question questionnaire. WELF does not independently verify the accuracy of data you enter.
